Melon Music Awards 2026 lineup: 8 acts also play KGMA a week earlier
On 30 September, we worked through the 14 Melon Music Awards 2026 (MMA, 멜론뮤직어워드) names one by one, checking each against KGMA's 40 performers and their dates. Eight names matched. When we grouped the matches by date, six landed on the same line: 8 November, KGMA's Music Day.
We had started with the question, "Do I need to go to both award shows?" Finding six shared acts on one KGMA day changed our answer for fans of those acts. Their KGMA date is already known. MMA has not assigned its acts to 14 or 15 November as of our 30 September check, so we still cannot pick an MMA day for a particular act.
Melon Music Awards 2026 dates and venue
KGMA stands for Korea Grand Music Awards (코리아 그랜드 뮤직 어워즈). Both shows are scheduled for Gocheok Sky Dome (고척스카이돔) in Seoul, one weekend apart.
| Award show | 2026 dates | Ticket status |
|---|---|---|
| KGMA | 7 and 8 November | Domestic sale: 2 October at 18:00 KST, announced by our 29 September check |
| Melon Music Awards | 14 and 15 November | Sale date, seller and prices not announced as of our 30 September check |
The third MMA lineup was announced on 30 September. Sports Seoul's report names NCT 127, NCT DREAM, ATEEZ, TWS, AND2BLE and 82MAJOR as the six additions. They bring the announced Melon Music Awards 2026 lineup to 14 acts.
Eight shared acts, with six on Music Day
| KGMA day | Acts also announced for MMA |
|---|---|
| 2026-11-07, Artist Day (2) | RESCENE, AND2BLE |
| 2026-11-08, Music Day (6) | RIIZE, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, ATEEZ, YENA, TWS, Hearts2Hearts |
We used Ilgan Sports' 29 September report for KGMA's performers by day. These eight names are on both announced lineups; their MMA performance dates remain unannounced as of 30 September.
Which weekend fits your trip?
If your priority is any of the six Music Day acts in the table, choose KGMA on 8 November. That published day already covers all six. RESCENE and AND2BLE fans have a different KGMA date: 7 November, Artist Day.
If you are travelling for PLAVE, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, NCT WISH, ILLIT or 82MAJOR, choose the MMA weekend, 14 and 15 November. Those six appear only on MMA's lineup in this comparison. Their individual performance dates have not been announced, so the lineup cannot yet tell you which day to book.
If you decide to attend both ceremonies, budget for 8 to 9 nights across 7 to 15 November. For example, a 7 November check-in and 15 November checkout is eight nights. Staying through the final MMA night and checking out on 16 November makes nine. That extra week is the travel cost to weigh against the names you would miss by choosing one weekend.
For the venue visit, see our Gocheok Sky Dome guide.
Melon Music Awards 2026 tickets and KGMA's sale
MMA's ticket sale date, seller, prices and global sale route have not been announced as of our 30 September check.
For KGMA, NOL (놀) is the ticketing platform named for the domestic sale. That sale opens on Friday, 2 October 2026 at 18:00 KST. At that moment it is 02:00 PDT in Los Angeles, 05:00 EDT in New York and 10:00 BST in London. Ilgan Sports and SpecialTimes reported the opening time. A global sale has not been announced as of our 29 September check; prices were also unannounced in that check. The domestic notice does not establish overseas-buyer eligibility.
Our 29 September check of the official KGMA English page found no ticket information.
Two questions before booking
Does the Melon Ticket notice confirm MMA's ticket seller?
No. Melon's 29 September announcement described linking Berriz (베리즈) fan-club accounts for verification in Melon Ticket (멜론티켓) presales, and said the service would apply to MMA 2026. It did not name MMA's ticket seller or sale date. Newsis reported the account-link announcement.
What does "MMA-only" mean in this comparison?
A name appears on MMA's 30 September lineup and is absent from KGMA's performer list checked on 29 September. Later lineup additions could change the comparison.
