About SEOULOVATION
SEOULOVATION is an independent English guide to K-pop concerts, award shows and fan events in Seoul, run from Korea. Most of what a fan abroad needs is published only in Korean, spread across ticketing pages, venue notices, the national performance register and news reports. I read those sources, check them against each other, and write down what they actually say, with the date I checked.
Why this exists
Korean ticket and venue notices are written for Korean buyers. They assume a Korean phone number, a Korean card and a working knowledge of which platform sells which show. Fans abroad end up piecing it together from scattered threads. This site puts the checked version in one place, in English.
What you'll find here
- Venue guides — getting there, capacities, seat maps, and bag and lightstick rules as each venue publishes them
- Tickets — which platform sells what, fan club presales, what to do when you miss out
- Monthly schedules — big-venue concerts in Seoul, Goyang and Incheon, with dates, venues and sale status
- Award shows and festivals — KGMA, the Melon Music Awards, FANOMENON 2027 and similar events, tracked as announcements come out
How I write
- Sources first. Each guide links the official pages, registers and reports it is based on. I don't describe visits I didn't make.
- Dated. Venue rules change. Every guide carries the date it was checked, and when an event date passes the guide gets an update note pointing to the current schedule.
- Photos. Photos are credited to their source, mostly Wikimedia Commons.
- No invented detail. If something isn't confirmed, it's marked as unconfirmed.
